What Congress required

The Epstein Files Transparency Act became Public Law 119-38 on November 19, 2025. It directs the Attorney General to publish covered unclassified DOJ records in a searchable and downloadable form. The enacted text—not a summary of a proposal—is the source for the scope of that obligation and its exceptions.[S09]
For readers, the central distinction is between a legal duty to disclose records and a finding that the duty has been completely fulfilled. They are separate propositions and require separate evidence.
A dated publication total

On January 30, 2026, the DOJ said the cumulative production had reached nearly 3.5 million pages. It also reported more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images in that day’s additional publication. These are the department’s dated figures, not this website’s independent count and not a count of 3.5 million separate documents.[S10]
The announcement set out the department’s position that it had complied with the law. We do not present that position as a judicial determination of complete compliance.
What the document library provides

This dossier links the official DOJ portal and specific documents used in the articles. It does not host a complete copy of the agency’s collection. Access to the portal may require an age-confirmation step.[S11]
For each source, the register identifies the publisher, document type and relevant date. Selected PDFs also have a page or paragraph guide. The distinction between the event date, the document date and the release date helps prevent an old event from being presented as breaking news.
How to inspect a release responsibly

Start with the original file and preserve its identifier. Then determine who created it and why. A complaint records allegations, a transcript records testimony, and an order records a judicial decision within its stated scope. A large release can contain all of those without making them interchangeable.
Redactions should be evaluated against the stated reason and the governing text. A blank space is not permission to identify a private victim or to guess which public figure appears underneath it.
Our source register is an access guide, not a certification of the entire archive. It does not claim that every link has been exhaustively reviewed, that every release is complete or that all allegations found in released material have been corroborated.
