Career timeline
A career with a university chapter
Tasha Reign’s biography includes two university degrees. Her publisher identifies a 2014 UCLA degree in women’s studies and a 2019 master’s degree in journalism from USC’s Annenberg School. Those dates place higher education alongside her professional career, rather than treating study as an episode that necessarily ended before work began.
Writing became part of the job
Her author biography lists published work in HuffPost and Al Jazeera America, as well as a column for MEL Magazine. That record gives the writing chapter specific outlets. Reign has discussed the industry both as a participant and as someone publishing commentary about it, a position that lets readers examine her arguments directly rather than rely solely on descriptions of her.
The memoir arrived in 2023
Cleis Press published From Princess to Porn Star: A Real-Life Cinderella Story on June 13, 2023. The official listing records 224 pages and presents the book as a personal memoir. Its narrative begins in Laguna Beach, California, and follows the author’s move into adult entertainment. The account belongs to Reign; it is not a claim by this publication to have investigated her private family history.

An account that includes criticism
The publisher describes a book concerned with power, racism, misogyny and the ways Reign found agency in her work. That combination matters. A memoir by a performer can discuss professional fulfillment and workplace problems in the same account. Book Soup’s August 2023 event listing similarly introduced the book through its examination of the industry, providing a dated public stop on the book’s release calendar.

Speaking about consent
According to her publisher’s biography, Reign has spoken to students on college campuses and at fraternities about consent and respecting boundaries. These appearances sit beside her women’s-rights advocacy. They also explain why her education is relevant to the profile: the subjects of her studies and writing overlap with the issues she has chosen to address in public.
The author interview offers another entry point
The December 27, 2023 episode of Lights, Camera, Author! featured Reign discussing the memoir in a 26-minute interview. For readers encountering her name through a search result, the book, published commentary and recorded author conversation provide separate ways into her work. Together, they show a professional record that includes performance, study, advocacy and authorship.
